HISTORY:
Many attribute the kickoff in 1915 to Gillette’s Milady Decolletee, “The First Razor Designed and Marketed Specifically for Women”, and was billed in the extensive national advertising campaign as the “Safest and Most Sanitary Method of Acquiring a Smooth Underarm, “ according to author Russell B. Adams Jr. in “King C. Gillette: The Man and His Wonderful Shaving Device.”
DESCRIPTIONS AND CONDITIONS
THE GILLETTE MILADY DECOLLETE RAZOR--SERIAL NUMBER N919049--{1921}:
As you can see in the photos, this razor is in good condition--No Gold-Plate Loss Noted.  The teeth are straight.  The handle has 1 Small/Stable Hairline/Stress Crack/Split--
The Handle is Stable--I can not remove the ball at the end of the handle--
{As Pictured in Picture #9}.
Although created as a woman’s model, it’s a perfect travel razor for anyone. The handle is somewhat longer than many travel razors. In spite of the age and size, the razor will use any standard Gillette style razor blade. These are available in a variety of brands in many stores and online.

THE CASE:
Original to this Set--Celluloid Case.
The hinge on the case is INTACT
--
{These are usually broken or missing}
--and the celluloid looks great. The bottom--rose colored liner has a couple of very minor rubs.  The Lid--rose colored satin lining Looks Good--No Rips/Tears--and the print looks good.

THE GOLD-PLATED BLADE BANK:
This is the original Gillette “top loading” blade bank for this razor set.  It is Gold-Plated with no plate loss noted.  It has a small blemish on one side but NO DINGS/DENTS.  It Contains 3 Gillette “Blue Blade” Razor Blades--In the Original Wrapper with Patent Numbers.

Overall a very nice razor set to take on trips, use at home, or display.
The only thing I did to this razor, when I got it, was give it a warm soapy bath--I did not want to get too aggressive and disturb the Gold-Plate Finish.  Although this razor Looks Clean--Further cleaning and sterilization should be accomplished before display/use.
