The Gillette President Razors were originally plated with Rohodium on the handle and Nickel on the razor head
Date code Y1 indicating that this razor was manufactured in the 1st quarter of 1953
Razor functions as it should and is mechanically sound, Razor does have plate loss on handle which coincides with hand placement by original shaver, however, this does not affect functionality
This is a very sought after collector's item as the President is one of the most difficult vintage Gillette razors to find Great everyday shaver as is or re-plated or super nice addition to any collection
