Slide seats forward, remove two side Philips screws from E-Brake console and remove e-brake console and set on driver seat or disconnect wires to fully remove.
Slide seats back, remove two plastic pins at side rear of shift console by prying out with flat screwdriver and remove two front side Philips screws. Remove shift console and unplug wiring to the N/P switch.
12 MM unbolt the shift lock release
and using needle nose slide off of the bushing.
Unbolt the 4
12MM from the shift console. Remove it to expose the cable.
(This is a good time to do a visual from under the vehicle to see how the cable comes from the shifter to the transmission.)
Pull the pin and slide off the shifter. Remove from bracket.
At transmission, - using two 10 mm to disconnect from Transmission. Slide off or break off bracket.
Before installing,
clean both brackets of rust and where it locks in to the groves. The expanded rust can offer
resistance/damage

MUST WIRE WHEEL THE RUST FROM THE BRACKETS or REPLACE THE BRACKETS.
When installing, guide it from under the vehicle along the passenger side top and then down.
If you cleaned the brackets well, the new should slide into the bracket and lock in without
much resistance.
