Authentic, GI Issue, US Navy Medical Department Flag. There is Gold Fringe on 3 sides of the flag.  It has leather tabs sewn in on the hoist side for attaching to the pole.  The BATTALION AND MEDICAL DEPARTMENT emblem is appliqued on BOTH sides of the flag.  This flag is made of Nylon and is an indoor flag.  This flag has never been used and is still in the manufacturers bag.
