Early Gillette Super Speed 40s Style DE Razor, NICE VALUE

This classic brass, nickel plated, early Gillette Super Speed "40s Style" razor you are viewing was thoroughly cleaned, polished, and sanitized.
This razor is in excellent working condition. The doors open and close smoothly, as well as tighten down securely and evenly.
The cosmetic condition is fair with a small amount of plate wear/brassing under the head and spots of light water staining around the head. Naturally this doesn't effect the shaving experience.
Included in this auction is a new five blade pack of stainless steel blades. Brands may vary. No blades will be shipped with international orders to avert any potential issues with customs.
This razor can be dated to between 1948 & 1950. It has the notched center bar to assist blade loading. This feature was first implemented in 1948. It has no date code. Modern Gillette codes as we now know them, with letters and numbers to denote year and quarter of production, began in 1951.
