1999-2004 WJ Jeep Grand Cherokee 4.0 Throttle / Kickdown Cable Replacement End

Description

I imagine you're here because you broke your kickdown/throttle valve cable while trying to remove it. I did the same thing and didn't see the need to replace an otherwise good cable. Whether you don't want to replace the cable or it's just inconvenient to do so, this replacement end is an easy alternative that can be installed in around 5 minutes and there's no need to drop your transmission pan.
The parts are made of ABS plastic, the same material as many of the other components already under your hood.
Great for apartment dwellers or people living in the colder winter states!

Follow these steps to replace your broken cable end:
1. Using pliers, break apart the old cable end being sure to not damage the steel cable.
2. Place the ball end of the cable into the slot on the bottom of replacement part and tuck the cable into the slot that runs down the length.
3. Pull the ball end down to the seat near the bottom.
4. Pull the cable out slightly and place throttle body bell
crank into the large slot.
5. Push the new end toward the direction of the cable to lock the bell
crank into the smaller slot (It will snap into place).
6. Adjust cable if needed (Youtube has several videos showing how to do this) (May not be needed as I designed it to be as close as possible).
DONE!!!
